appropriate adult scheme using volunteers near you. Please then
contact that organisation directly using the email address given.
Not all appropriate adult schemes use volunteers so there may not
be a suitable scheme near you.
Please do not contact NAAN direct by phone or email as
unfortunately we do not have the resources to deal with individual
volunteer enquiries.

If accepted as an appropriate adult volunteer, the organisation

Volunteering England provide information and resources for
volunteers and volunteer managers. It has developed a useful guide for
volunteer managers and co-ordinators who wish to increase the level
of management support for volunteering in their organisation. The

INVESTING IN
VOLUNTEERS is the UK quality standard for
all organisations which involve volunteers in their work. The
Standard enables organisations to comprehensively review their
volunteer management, and also publicly demonstrates their
commitment to volunteering. Some NAAN members have achieved the
Standard. Others may wish to consider it. For further information

consider the Compact Code of Good Practice on Volunteering. The
